Mending Heart

How to Make A Mending Heart

Read Time:44 Second

This Mending Heart is a big hit for those who sew. The heart was purchased from Dollar Tree. In this example, I glued two of the hearts to make the wall hanging more sturdy. Because the recipient sews in several areas of her home, I thought this would be the perfect Valentine’s gift for hanging on a wall for easy access.

The walnut stain was Waverly Chalk Ink. I made the center compartments to hold sewing machine needles, tweezers, seam ripper, measuring tape, bobbins, and a thimble. Attached are few clips to burlap material. The hand needles and pin cushion are attached using velcro, and simple hooks were used to attach the scissors. To finish off the back, I glued on a layer of burlap and attached a picture frame hook. The rest speaks for itself.

Hope my favorite sister-in-law loves this gift!
